In a separate incident during dismissal, a bus driver observed two students with a firearm, which also was recovered by law enforcement. During the search, a firearm was found in a student’s book bag. We received information that led to a lockdown and a search by law enforcement for a firearm on campus. Sign up here for FOX 46 Alerts and get Breaking News sent straight to your inbox The lockdown was lifted shortly after 3:30 p.m. The gun on the school bus was positively identified as the first gun seen during the fight and it appears the gun was reported stolen.įive students were arrested following the incident and charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, including two 17-year-old boys, a 17-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy. Officers were still on the scene at the time and were able to take the student with that gun into custody. That weapon was later located on a school bus when a student on the bus notified the bus driver they saw the gun.
